KandhaSashti Kavacham is authored in Tamil by Devaraya Swamigal on Lord Muruga. Lord Muruga, also known as Lord Karthikeya, is the son of Lord Shiva. Skanda Sashti Kavasam was authored in the 19th century and the author prays to Lord Muruga to shower his grace.
